2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When you visit the website, the hosting provider automatically stores information in server log files that your browser transmits, such as:

This data is processed to deliver the website and to keep it secure and stable. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We have concluded a data processing agreement with STRATO.

3. No cookies, no tracking

This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking tools. Fonts are hosted locally on this server; no connection to Google or other font providers is made.

4. External links

This website links to our WhatsApp channel. No data is transmitted to WhatsApp (Meta) just by visiting this website. Only when you click the link or scan the QR code will you be taken to WhatsApp, where WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies.

5. Purchases and payment

When you buy something in our store, we process your Minecraft username, the purchased items, the price and the order ID to deliver your items in-game and to keep proper records (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (c) GDPR). This data is stored on our server for as long as required by tax law (up to 10 years).

To make sure your items reach the right player, we check your username with the Mojang API (Mojang AB / Microsoft, Sweden) and store the matching player ID (UUID). Only the username is transmitted.

Items are delivered by sending a console command to our Minecraft server, which is hosted by exaroton (Aternos GmbH, Germany). Only your username and the purchased amount are part of this command.

For payment you are redirected to our payment provider, who receives your payment data and is responsible for it under its own privacy policy. We only receive the payment status and a payment ID, never your card or account details.

Your shopping cart is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and is only sent to us when you check out.

6. Player stats

On our home page anyone can look up the in-game statistics of a ChaosMS player by entering their username (for example playtime, in-game money, Gems, kills, deaths, rank and when the player was last online). The page "Online Players" also lists which players are currently online on the server, with their rank. This data is read from our Minecraft server and is not stored by the website. We do this to offer a feature that is common on Minecraft servers and that players expect (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). If you do not want your stats to be shown, contact us at info@chaosms.net.

The player head shown next to the stats is loaded by our server from mc-heads.net using the player ID. Your browser does not connect to mc-heads.net, and no data about you as a website visitor is transmitted.

The name you last looked up is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) so the field is pre-filled next time.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing of your personal data (Art. 15–21 GDPR). To exercise these rights, contact us at the email address above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, e.g. the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (LDI NRW).
